Jorey Chernett Chief Executive Officer & Founder
Jorey Chernett is the CEO and founder of Intrinsic Medical Imaging, the developer and marketer of Authentic4D. Jorey has a passion for building and investing in businesses. Jorey previously served as President of D4D Technologies, LLC, a medical device company providing 3D imaging and CNC milling solutions to the $60B dental crown and bridge industry. He led the company in architecting and executing its business model, taking D4D through key strategic partnerships, culminating in a sale to strategic investors that included 3M and Henry Schein. Jorey’s past includes experience as a venture capitalist (Illinois Ventures, LLC/Camelot), operator (DigitalWork, Inc.) and investment banker (Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette). He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with honors from Indiana University.
Sonny Lacey VP of Product Design & Customer Engagement
Sonny is the Vice President of Product Design and Customer Engagement for Intrinsic Medical Imaging. As a champion of user-driven design and clear user experiences, Sonny served as a principal designer for Sterling Commerce before and after IBM’s $1.4 billion acquisition. Prior to IBM, Sonny designed the GUI for the D4D Technologies dental product, E4D Dentist, with an eye on clinical usability reinforced by rigorous field testing. In the U.S. Army, Sonny co-authored a lightweight indirect fire simulator that was used to test and assess Officer Candidates during artillery training. With Dallas-based Zix Corporation, he conducted the first usability tests of the medical handheld ePrescription application. Earlier, Sonny was with the Dallas firm, ObjectSpace, where he worked on one of the first PDA handheld travel reservation GUIs for the Galileo network.
Dr. Adam Folbe Medical Director
Dr. Adam Folbe is the Director of Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor in the department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Folbe also serves as chairman of the cancer committee at Karmanos Cancer Institute. Dr. Folbe did a fellowship in Rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery at the University of Miami. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Michigan. He is one of two fellowship-trained rhinologists in the state of Michigan. He has published many book chapters and peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Folbe focuses on minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of sinus and skull base diseases where he uses the latest imaging and navigation technology to complement his surgeries.
Tom Puckett Director of Software Engineering
Tom has nearly 30 years of experience with technology research, development and commercialization, including the past 18 years in medical devices, primarily software applications. Prior to joining Intrinsic in 2011, he served as manager of Quality Assurance at Fujifilm Medical Systems USA. Before that he managed the software architecture function at Nomos Radiation Oncology, and served for 10 years in a variety of support, integration, test and development engineering roles at Eastman Kodak Health Group. He served regularly on two active working groups of the DICOM medical imaging standard over several years. Earlier, Tom was dedicated for 10 years to a variety of technology development programs for both public and private organizations in the defense industry.
Tom Bambrick Director of Operations & Human Resources
Tom is the Director of Operations & Human Resources for Intrinsic Medical Imaging. Tom’s forte over the years has been in helping emerging technology companies build their HR infrastructure from the ground up. Tom has extensive Human Resources experience with start-ups as well as rapidly growing companies in both the private and public sectors. Tom is currently responsible for HR administration, employee relations, staffing and recruiting, training, compensation, benefits and policy development. He previously provided the same expertise in his role as HR Director at D4D Technologies in Richardson, TX. Tom is an active volunteer in Airedale Terrier Rescue and competes in Canine Agility with his four Airedales. Tom holds a BS in social sciences from California State University at Long Beach.
Steven Stuart Director of IT
Steve Stuart joined Intrinsic Medical Imaging in 2012. Steve’s experience in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Finance, and business operations have been a valuable resource to the organization. Bringing over 20 years of IT experience, he works closely with all areas of the business, supporting all technology within NorthPointe including Trading and Compliance Operations. Steve earned his BS from Wayne State University.
